SANTA BARBARA, Calif., December 6, 2010—Wealth manager Mitchell E. Kauffman of Kauffman Wealth Services is one of five financial advisors in the U.S. named to the Advisor Hall of Fame for 2010 by Research magazine. The award has been presented to only 100 advisors over its 20-year history.
According to the publication, those selected have passed a rigorous screening, served a minimum of 15 years in the industry, acquired substantial assets under management, demonstrate superior client service, and have earned recognition from their peers and the broader community.
Kauffman has provided comprehensive wealth management and financial advisory services to retirees, business owners, corporate executives, professionals and individual women throughout the country for 30 years. He is a financial writer and his work and interviews have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, KNBC Los Angeles, Chicago Tribune, and Kiplinger, and several other local publications. He is an Instructor of Financial Planning and Investment Management at the University of California at Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Community College, and Pasadena City College.
In addition to managing a top wealth advisory practice, Kauffman is committed to community service. He volunteers to counsel students on the ethics of financial planning at the Walter H. Capps Center for the Study of Ethics, Religion and Public Life at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He also volunteers for Social Venture Partners Santa Barbara, Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Santa Barbara Community Foundation, Santa Barbara City College, and the Anti-Defamation League of Santa Barbara.
